… immediately after downloading this track. you’re welcome for being able to listen to Edward Maya again. The White Panda is a young and upcoming mashup duo, exploding as a result of mixing the jam of 2010 with the hip-hop flavor of waka’s “no hands.” And of course i gotta dig wale holding it down to rep the home town, shout out P-MAC. Enjoy.
1) Stereo Hands – The White Panda
It’s no secret that I am a New York City boy, which means I like my girls spoiled, brunette, and Jewish,
However, I had the pleasure of meeting a bonafide California girl this weekend, and I must admit they are rather pleasant.
Here is a gang of California Gurls remixes.
1) California Gurls (Armand Van Helden Remix)
I’m a fan of the sound permeating Armand’s tracks lately. It is very French House, very disco-centric. This has to be my favorite of all of the remixes.
2) California Gurls (Algeronics Remix)
This one has a nice bouncey euro touch to it, and it builds up nicely. It maintains a good amount of singalongability, too, which is something Armand’s remix is devoid of.
3) California Gurls (HYPER CRUSH Remix)
It’s HYPER CRUSH! So you know that you are going to get their presence in every aspect of the track, but this track is hyphy as fuck. A nice build-up at the 2:00 mark will def have all of the California Gurls shaking in their Daisy Dukes.
4) California Gurls (Barletta Remix)
Barletta is not fucking around, as the track jumps right into to first verse. Of all the remixes though, this track keeps the track for the most part intact, making it the most singalongable. The Smokey Sample also at the 1:20 mark is a nice little touch too for all the Friday fans.
5) California Gurls (DallasK Remix)
To me, this was the weakest of the remixes. The levels seemed off. It has the right idea, but to me the vocals are much higher than the instrumental, which seems to drown out the track. Katy comes in at 1:48 to a stripped-down beat, providing a nice effect, but like I said, I need that beat higher.
Been a while, here’s some new and old shit
1) We no Speak Americano (Montreal House Mafia Mix)- Marco Calliari
Although not a new banger, I love how this song brings it down with a unique Spanish sounding break, and then before you know it drops some catchy ass horns that make you want to whistle along.
2) Watch Out (Robbie Rivera Remix)- Alex Gaudino
This is an old classic as well but after people asking me for the name, I figured I would post it. This incorporates some of those classic horns as well but with an added echo effect. Overall very catchy rhythm that many of you already know, just don’t know the name.
3) No Superstar (MR P!NK remix)- Remady
Over the classic house track Rise Up, the vocals add to the already bass dropping melody.
4) Let me Sip my Drink (Mastiksoul Remix)- Robbie Rivera
This Latin house music producer creates some of my favorite progressive house jams, enjoy the funky electro chorus drop at 2:00.
5) California Gurls (MSTRKRFT Remix)- Katy Perry ft. Snoop
Any top 40 remixed by MSTRKRFT is usually intriguing and this is no exception. Song builds up through the chorus and then drops into a very insane trance that you gotta love.
1)Monster (DJ Kue Remix)-Lady Gaga
DJ Kue does it again with a top-40 house banger that is sure to see plenty of burn in nightclubs around the United States. This one provides a shot of adrenaline to the gaga vocal track, looping it at certain points but keeping the verses, and thus the sing-alongability intact.
