House Music, It's La Cosa Nostra

Smoke DZA

New Danks

So we’ve been going heavy on the House Music lately and I figured we were due some Hip-Hop

How better to start it off than the new track that dropped this week from the Cudder and a D2D favorite, the homie Chip Tha Ripper. If your memory serves you correctly, which I doubt it does you short-term-memory-losing mothafuckas, Chip was the only artist featured twice in our 4/20 MEGAPOST, and rightfully so, as homie’s music just goes well with smokin chiba. It’s a fact of life. Without further ado, peep some of the Hip-Hop I’ve been listening to lately.

1) All Talk- Kid Cudi & Chip Tha Ripper

Minimalistic beat allows the two fantastic lyricists to impress their own styles upon the cut. These guys love to play off of each other’s energy, as is indicative by their other collabos (Ask About Me and Hyerr being my two favorites). This track is no different. Playful, witty, and catchy as fuck.

1) Spotlight (Feat Killa Kyleon)- Wiz Khalifa

Wiz selling out a SUNDAY show at The Majestic is a testament to his rapid rise to prominence. This jam, off of his latest mixtape, Kush and Orange Juice, I’ve had on blast for the past week or two. It’s not really the beat that gets me with this song. It’s def Wiz’s verses. They are tight. Also, homie utters one of my favorite lines ever, “This Weed goes good with my belt.” Classic.

3)I Like Dreaming-Smoke DZA

Mickey Factz put me on to Smoke DZA right when Substance Abuse dropped and I’ve been loving it ever since. This track is super dreamy.

4)Time Machine (feat Cory Gunz)-Smoke DZA

The best nostalgia track since Wu Tang’s “Can it Be All So Simple” And that’s saying something. Cory Gunz is the man too.
