House Music, It's La Cosa Nostra

A Trip Down Memory Lane

My hard-drive is full. It has been for weeks. I’m too lazy to use an external, and I’ve tried every trick in the book to clear up space…I even deleted Angry Birds the other day.

So finally, I decided to start deleting music that I never listen to (heresy! i know.)

While sifting through my library, I found this nugget. I knew I had heard this track before. Lo and behold, it came to me. I checked through my blackberry’s videos, and sure enough, this track got play during MSTRKRFT’s 3am set at Webster Hall, NYE 2009-10. Enjoy.

1)Knock You Out (Andy George Remix)-Black Noise

For those of you not familiar with Andy George, he’s a british DJ/Producer who can often be found filling in for Pete Tong whenever Petey can’t DJ the Essential Selection. This record bumps though. Crunk electro-house.

Throwback Canada

First up, the MSTRKRFT Electro Remix…

1)Sexy Results (MSTRKRFT Edition)-Death From Above 1979 ***Fuego***

Jake Israel is a great friend but the best thing he ever did for me was show me this track. Timeless.

Like MSTRKRFT? Witness the evolution of half their sound, as JFK used to be part of an Indie Rock band called Death From Above 1979. Here is a link to a Zip file of their most popular album,

You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine
