Afrojack=Winner. I can’t even begin to explain the mega achieved at Club Opium Mar last Thursday night in Barcelona. Afrojack is an absolute legend. What was supposed to be a typical walk in the park, hour and half performance, turned into an EPIC FOUR HOUR culmination of classic Dutch House bangers, Dirty top 40 remixes, and multiple unreleased tracks. From 2:30-6:30 A.M. AfroCRACK absolutely murdered the Opium Mar club in Barcelona. Club promoters angrily tried to wrap up his set, and Afrojack wasn’t having it. Every time they signaled him to cut, he continued to drop filthy beats and PUNISH bottles of grey goose.
At one point he took a 15 second pull and nearly ate shit on stage. Quote: “That was supposed to be my last track but every time I see this bottle (holding grey goose) it keeps saying Nicki Nicki Drink Me Drink Me” After announcing nearly 10 or 15 “last songs,” the be all, end all moment for me was this quote when cutting all the music before the beat drop for BangDuck: “Hold on Hold on, Fuck something is wrong with the mixer…. Oh wait i forgot, its just Afrojack [beat drop].” You have to respect the producers like Afrojack that crush out 4 hour sets, engage the crowd and appreciate positive fan reviews, getting fucked up and having a good time. So much more rewarding than the Deadmau5es who could give a shit less, throwing on the same set every time they perform. Afrojack went up in my book (which I assure you is a hard feat) and I suggest you scope these unreal videos posted below. Literally one of the hardest tasks for me was just picking which of the 16 videos I took were post worthy. I tried to capture an eclectic blend of the set with a few new tracks. Enjoy…
Wow. Can’t say I’m an avid fan of Rihanna but I melted when I heard this remix. Chron.
New track Afrojack throws in after his “Milli” drop. Adds a funky electro sound to Pacha on Acid. Got mad close for the 2nd of the 2 videos. Vicious track, get ready for the race.
Afro drops this All of the Lights Remix at about 6 A.M. Got close for this one as well. Really sick video… engaging the crowd and doing his thing on the mixer.
CRUSHINNNNNG MEGA. Getting the club rowdy from the get go.
One Two…Woop Woop (note he drops the Bloody Beetroots one cuz he knows what’s up)
Drops Smells Like Teen Spirit at nearly 6:30, right before the club put the lights on. What a legend.
#1) Who’s That Chick (Afrojack Remix) – Rihanna & David Guetta
Just another day at the office. Doing what I can to share these unreal experiences. One of the best live sets I’ve had the fortune to witness.
Top Track of January 2011 (Just in time)
1)Blow Up (Hook N Sling & Goodwill Remix)-Hard Rock Sofa & St Brothers ***FUEGO***
Wow. Further proof that my man Hook N Sling is one of the top producers to watch of 2011. This track is massive, and considering how much Axwell has been dropping it in his sets, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it at Masquerade. I would, however, be elated.
UPDATE: Peep my good friend and future WSUM Radio Co-Host AJ’s Post for the Original Mix & the Axwell Remix
A re-recording of the first hour of my opening set for Skrillex from last thursday. Enjoy 🙂
1)Winter Mix 2011-Jack Mulqueen ***Fuego***
3 new essential Dutch bangers that come with Club Epic track warnings – play these at appropriate times. This ain’t chill music – Scope em!
1) Hey Sexy Lady (Afrojack Remix) – iSquare
Afrojack kills it again with his long awaited Steve Angello-produced iSquare’s remix of Hey Sexy Lady. Definition of a Dutch House banger. FIRE.
2) One More Time in Miami Bitch (Pristine Blusters Mashup) – Daft Punk vs. DJ Chuckie
When I was shown just the name of this mashup, I almost melted. You get what you get with this one – banging of Chuckie’s classic Dutch house music, mixed with potentially the most successful electronic track of all time. This is, in a word… CRACK
3) Outta Your Mind (Sidney Samson Remix) – Lil Jon
Sidney Samson crushes out another Afrojack influenced remix. Wild drop. Super electro. Super CHRONZ.
The 21 year old Swedish stud kills it again. This guy is on a tear and ended his U.S. tour Saturday night (Jan. 15) @ club GLOW at Fur night club in Washington D.C. I only wish I was there to witness what turned out to be an epic set concluding at 4:30 A.M. with his “Set Me Free” mix posted below. Highly recommend scoping it with a few other new jams that were dropped. Avicii is going straight to the top 15. Believe it…
1) Set Me Free (Avicii Mix) – Phonat
This mix is FIRE. 4:30 conclusion to his set – wow. Shout out to MBS and J-Mill for filling me in. I’m jealous. I know you guys killed it.
2) Rapture (Avicii New Generation Extended Mix) – Nadia Ali
If you haven’t heard this yet, you are missing out. CRACK. Avicii shows off his Progressive House skills and proves the fact that he has got it all and covers so many different genres in his sets.
3) Make My Heart (Avicii’s Replacer Mix) – Toni Braxton
Another dank remix. Avicii continues to post new music at an unbelievable rate. He’s a prodigy.

Now, my absolute favorite Chuckie track.
1)Aftershock (Chuckie & Silvio Ecomo Remix)-Chuckie ***Fuego***
I posted this guy a while ago, but let’s be real. It never gets old does it. Hope to see you all there tonight. His sets, and particularly his ability to infuse top40 and hip-hop tastefully without losing his dirty-dutch sound, are unprecedented.
2010 turned out to be a great year. In 9 months of existence B10 has received 182,000 hits and counting and that speaks volumes to the expansion of Electronic Dance Music as a genre.
What better way to start off the New Year than with some big tunes, old and new.
1) We Feel the Same (Michael Woods Remix)-Patrick Hagenaar ***Fuego***
Massive track. I would love to see a dub of it, but the build-up on this guy is tremendous.
Throwback: Boogie 2nite (Seamus Haji Big Love Remix)-Booty Luv **Dumb Hot**
You may already have this track or know of it, but if you haven’t download it, and if you do already have it, rekindle your love for it.
